Kidz Harbor Happenings: September

During the month of September, we began several refurbishing projects. Thanks to a grant from the Heavenly Father Foundation, we were able to install new fencing around the play yard, purchase new furniture and a rug for the Girls’ Family Room, re-paint, replenish art supplies, re-organize games and puzzles, and update toys for the girls to use and to play with during the evening hours after school.

On September 18, an amazing group of volunteers from Ascend came to Kidz Harbor and donated their time, resources, and skills in a one-day cleanup, repair, and refresh-“a-looza”! There were crews who worked on re-paving the front porch of the long-term house, crews who leveled dirt and cleaned out brush, crews who repaired a drainage issue by installing a French drain, crews who replaced and installed three new signs, and crews who power-washed the entire facility.  Our exterior and grounds have never looked better, thanks to the hard work and generosity of the team from Ascend. Thank you for your support and compassion for the children at Kidz Harbor!
